Harry Potter actor who appeared as werewolf Fenrir Greyback in three movies, including both Deathly Hallows films, Dave Legeno (50), been found dead in Death Valley, a remote part of California.

Dave Legeno, whom mixed martial arts fighter, was found by hikers on Sunday and his body was recovered by helicopter. As reported by BBC, there were no signs of foul play and it is believed he died from the heat. it is an initial coroner's examination found.

British news portal dailymail reported that The Inyo County Sheriff's Department in California had done the autopsy. The Inyo County Sheriff's Department told that Dave died of heat stroke.

It is thought his body may have been there for three or four days before he was found. Temperatures in Death Valley are known to reach more than 120 degrees.

The Mixed Martial Arts star leaves behind a daughter Wendy who is believed to be in her 20s.

"It appears that Legeno died of heat-related issues, but the Inyo County coroner will determine the final cause of death," the Inyo County Sheriff's Office wrote in a statement, according to BBC.

Dave Legeno played the werewolf in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as the final two movies in the film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Dave's other film credits included 2000 movie Snatch, in which he started as John opposite Brad Pitt and Vinnie Jones.

He is said to have had interests ranging from poetry to playing the guitar and reading.

Dave also appeared as Gilles Rigaut in TV series Spooks as well as a League of Shadows member in Batman Begins alongside Christian Bale in 2005. Several stars took to Twitter to pay tribute to him.

Based on Wikipedia, David "Dave" Legeno was born in Marylebone, London, England, on October 12, 1963. He has been quoted as saying that he wanted to act since he read Shakespeare's Richard III. Legeno attended Dr Challoner's Grammar School for Boys in Amersham. He later studied performing arts at a college in America before he began to have roles in advertisements.

Legeno worked as a bouncer, debt collector, and wrestler, before becoming a boxer. His wrestling nickname was Lone Wolf. Legeno's first major film role was in Guy Richie's Snatch.

Since then he has had roles in Batman Begins, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and Centurion. He played werewolf Fenrir Greyback in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. He also lent his voice to the videogame The Getaway: Black Monday.

Legeno was versed in many combat styles, including boxing, wrestling, judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai. He began his professional MMA career at the age of 42 at Cage Rage 14.

Legeno lived in Southern England with his daughter. His interests included poetry, reading, and playing the guitar. He has said that his goal is "to strive, to seek, to find and not to yield".
